Osijek City is the capital of Slavonia region and lies in the south – eastern part of Croatia on the right bank of river Drava. Starting with the second half of the XVIIIth century, Osijek city has met a great economic development regarding the silk production, the tannery industry, sugar processing.
There appeared the furniture factory, the chocolate and candies factory, the beer factory and is developing the iron processing industry.
