Tulsa lies in the north – eastern part of Oklahoma State and has 803.235 inhabitants.
In 1907 oil was discovered in Red Folk (from Tulsa along the Arkansas River), in this way the entire territory of Oklahoma State being drilled. The mineral oil explosion led to the development of the constructions, to the apparition of urban projects for the tenant’s fund, to the hotelier development and the public services system. In the present, Tulsa is known as “The Mineral Oil World-Wide Capital”. The annual gross proceeds is of 33% and the one for new jobs is of 37%. After the Second World War there appeared aviation companies and in the last decades the telecommunication industry had a great development. |
