Radom City lies in the south – eastern part of Poland and has 230.500 inhabitants.
Radom City represents one of the oldest polish location in which the first church was built in 1187. The city “New Radom” was founded by Cazimir the Great of Poland in 1364. Radom is the cultural center of the entire region. The main events are based on the theater, on the 3 museums (Jacek Malczewski Museum, The Contemporary Art Museum and The Village Museum), on the Public Library of the city, on the several cultural centers and on the two cinemas.
The main event of the cultural scenery of Radom city is the annual days of the city, an event where are present all the inhabitants of Radom. It takes place at the beginning of June and includes concerts, exhibitions, competitions and contests. |
