Dniepropetrovsk city lies in the south – eastern part of Ukraine and has 1.137.000 inhabitans.

Dniepropetrovsk is the major center of the steel industry starting from the XXth century, being also considered the metalworkers city (pipe’s construction, railway wheels), the city of the car constructors (electric traction engines, tractors, electric engines). The building of the subway was finished in 1995. The city has also an international airport.
